At The Bridge we believe in baptism by immersion following the commitment to Christ as Lord and Savior. If you have accepted Christ and desire to follow Him in baptism, please read the information provided and fill out the form below.
WHat is Baptism
Baptism is an ordinance of the church and serves as an outward sign of the inward saving work of Jesus Christ. Baptism does not in itself BRING salvation but serves as an open declaration of and identification with Christ for one who has experienced salvation.
Feature One
Water Baptism is done through immersion, The word for Baptism(Baptizo) means to immerse, dip or submerge. We know through scripture Jesus was immersed...He "Came up immediately from the water"(Matthew 3:16)
Feature Two
Water Baptism symbolizes death and resurrection. When a believer is saved by grace through faith in Christ, that believer is dying to sin and rising to new life in Christ.
Feature Three
Water Baptism symbolizes a believers new IDENTTY with Christ. Serving as a portrait of the new relationship with Christ, baptism portrays our leaving the old life of sin and entering into a new and abundant life through and with Christ. (John 10:10)

Water Baptism was instituted by Christ and should be done in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit , fulfilling the Lord's missional command..."Baptizing them in the name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:18-20)
